Enhancing competitive advantage through sustainability impacts
The Oregon Convention Center has a reputation for being one of the most sustainable convention centers in the U.S. – and I had the opportunity to help them achieve LEED Platinum and the APEX/ASTM certifications to back that up. Some of my contributions include:

Launched the facility's front-of-house compost program
Designed sustainability stations used to sort waste-boxed lunches
Overhauled communication materials to engage exhibitors in waste reduction expectations and opportunities
Developed data tracking system for improved reporting
Coordinated strategies for employee energy efficiency campaign that resulted in a 10% energy reduction for the entire facility, double the original goal
Conceptualized and coordinated employee engagement games
Designed campaign materials
Directed videos featuring employees taking energy efficiency actions
Wrote content for employee newsletter
Led communication and storytelling efforts that improved competitive advantage by building awareness about sustainability efforts with clients, potential clients, employees, and members of the community
Directed mural design and generated messaging for EV charging stations
Supported design of facility sustainability wall by organizing institutional knowledge and establishing data sets to formulate timeline, key accomplishments, and develop messaging
